A TRULY HEARTWARMING EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

MY PASSION -

When you travel the world, you move beyond your immediate life and have the experience to look and live beyond your own home. This is when I realised I have a responsibility to others. We all do! Just across the globe there are loving mothers, hardworking fathers and beautiful children, who are just like you and I, they have the same abilities and desires, although they don’t receive the same opportunities we do in Australia. Their level of personal commitment to life makes you realise the opportunities we often take for granted. These are the people that have inspired ME to appreciate my education and every other privilege I am lucky enough to receive.

Volunteering has opened my eyes and heart to the inequalities and injustices occurring in this world, that ultimately should not. It has made me extremely passionate to devote more of my time to this valuable cause.

 Having had the opportunity to meet so many beautiful children who have risen above their hardships and triumphed, has changed me forever. It is my sincere wish that I am able to offer this life changing experience to others.

I would love for Australian students to have the opportunity to experience the Fijian Culture, interact with beautiful children & locals and have the opportunity to give back to others. I am confident that this valuable experience will positively change the outlook of students who take western luxuries and their education for granted, as it has previously done for me.

I have always considered; If we accept that others have a right to peace and happiness equal to our own, do we not have a responsibility to help those in need? The things I have witnessed throughout my time volunteering have made me happy, made me laugh, made me cry and most importantly made me grateful, it is this that has motivated me to do my bit to make a change. I would like to offer this opportunity to all of you to be able to experience the world and other cultures, to broaden your awareness and open your heart, as it has mine.
